This is something for an inspirational story. Mike Page almost lost his legs and Mikko Sjoblom was in a coma and almost died. Both had a serious accident during snowboarding, but that’s the risk of every extreme sportsman. What happened to them? Watch the following movie. It’s only 28 minutes, so sit back and relax.

I saw this guy on discovery channel during some kind of stunt program where he attempted a pretty serious snowboard trick. Maybe I can find this other trick of him as well. Anyway, he had injured himself seriously while practicing for this trick, falling on his back and head. Looks crazy…

Time for some snowboarding. This Saturday it’s time for me again to hit the snow. So need some inspiration. What better then watching Shaun White doing some mega jumps!

Anybody watched the excellent snowboard movie first descent? I saw it 6 months or so ago, and the scene that I remembered most was the descent of Terje Haakonsen of one hell of a steep mountain. Amazing skills!

Shaun White, at 19 years old already a legend! Gazillion time winner of gold medals at the xgames and owner of the best tricks in the industry. They made a nice movie of 38 minutes of him, the Shaun White Album, and it’s available through google video. Don’t know if it’s legal, but if it’s hosted we show it! It’s a nice docu where you see him grow up, try skateboarding, being fooled by Tony Hawk, seeing him win many medals. Fun stuff to watch in the weekends or when you’re bored at work.
