Robin Hood Is A Wussy!

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

Okay, maybe it’s not an extreme sport, but it’s still very very skillfull to see what these guys do! I did some archery when I was a kid and was always impressed if someone could shoot straight into the bullseye. That’s what these guys are also doing, only a little more extreme.

Grinding Into The Grand Canyon

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

Bob Burnquist, famous skater, got a good idea for a stunt. Set up a ramp with a rail behind it on the edge of the Grand Canyon and skate it. At the end of the rail free fall into the Canyon and make a base jump. Sounds pretty good to me.

Rich Franklin - Intense Workout

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

I love weight training! I think it’s the basis for every sport and everybody should do it as a support to their main sport or maybe even solely as their main sport. I did some serious weightlifting for many years and learned a lot about. So when I see someone train it takes just a blink to see if he’s serious in what he’s doing or not. After watching the next movie, I know that Rich Franklin is serious in what he’s doing! He’s some sort of free fighter or something like that, and the training he’s doing is Intense, with a capital I! Good motivation!

Jean Frenette - The Old Days

Monday, November 27th, 2006

One of the first times I saw some martial arts on TV I saw this Canadian guy on eurosport during some budo show. At the time I was highly impressed with the skills he got, especially the flexibility this guy possesses. Now, so many years later, it’s still nice to see what he did in those times and that these kind of kata’s have evolved so much. I really think he was probably the first who did something like this. I did some research on him and he’s now into stunt coordination and his list of work his really long. The demonstration he gives keeps great to watch.

Red Bull X Fighters Mexico

Saturday, November 25th, 2006

I like sports that are fun to watch! In the last weeks I found it more and more fun to watch freestyle motorcross, fmx. I’m still thinking about it if this should have a place in this list, because it’s a motorized sport. But these guys are so so good! Just watch.

Mutiny On The Rings

This guy is good with rings… Never seen something like this before, but it seems that it’s an upcoming sport. I put it under general untill I know what’s it called.

Jump From 21,5 Meter High Bridge

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

These Dutch guys jump from a pretty high bridge. It’s 21,5 meters (70 Feet) high! Seems like a very hard impact onto the water. I wouldn’t to land on my back or chest with such a jump. Daredevils! Anyone found a higher jump (they have to survive it of course!)?

Obowang Crew

Whoohaa! This breakdance crew has some special moves! I wonder how much training goes into it.
