Freediving with Loic Leferme

Saturday, October 21st, 2006

Freediving, the most extreme sport there is… Imagine holding your breath and then going down to 171 meters and returning to the surface after 4 minutes! Your car tire has 2 bars of pressure in it, on 171 meters deep you’ll have more then 18 bars pressure on your body! That’s called no limits freediving! Like it? Watch famous freediving champion Loic Leferme setting a world record at that depth. Does he make it to the surface?

As you may have noticed my own favorite game is freediving. If you want to read more about this great sport go to my shark freediving blog or visit our Team Sharkbait website.

The Milkman Collection Part 1

Friday, October 20th, 2006

Don’t know really why the guys who edited this collection of various extreme footages to one nice clip call themselves milkman, so just watch the footage of all kind of different extreme sport. Lots of cool tricks, lots of crazy crashes! Especially the skilled guys on their bicycle somewhere in the middle, I’ll have some more footage of that sport later on. Have fun with this one.

Parcours a la Russia

Thursday, October 19th, 2006

This is probably the most famous video about parcours or free running as some others are calling it. It’s a very nice videoclip about some russians doing some extreme parcours in their neighbourhoud. Definitely some high skilled athletes with some amazing skills! Have fun watching…

Skydive Under A Bridge

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

Yes, you read it right… Skydive UNDER a bridge, not from a bridge. Otherwise I would have called it basejumping. Maybe good idea for a next video, basejumping. Anyway, this guy is crazy! He jumps from a plane and at the last moment he goes below a bridge that’s on the highway, and he goes high speed! Crazy daredevil, see him hold his feet up in the slow mo in the end. Oh and watch the cameraman below the bridge!

Corey Martinez - Things You Can Do With A Bike

Tuesday, October 17th, 2006

This is also an oldie in my bookmarks, but oh so great! Corey Martinez is a 23 year old guy who started with BMX 11 years ago. The video shows some amazing skills! Not the ordinary ‘I’ll do 1 trick’, but the combination of many tricks in one shot makes this video great! Not to mention the great tune an the editing done with the footage. BMXíng looks great! Maybe time to try some with Team Sharkbait in the near future.

Trickers Part 2

Monday, October 16th, 2006

Another nice compilation of people doing their acrobatic things, jumping from houses, making backflips, kicking, twirling, etc. Another 5 minutes of your time to amaze yourself about the skills some people posesses. I would already be happy if I could do a standing backflip! The frustrating part is that they make it look sooo easy!

Breakdancers are Sportsmen!

Sunday, October 15th, 2006

Maybe your first thought is “what has breakdancing to do with sports?”. Well if you look at the following clip you see a real sportsman in control of his body! B-boy Junior is from France and is good in what’s he’s doing. It even makes it more amazing if you know that he only has one leg he can use and you don’t even really notice it besides when he’s walking.

No Excuses For Not Trying!

Saturday, October 14th, 2006

From now on nobody can use any excuse for not trying! Meet Scott Horton, a guy in a wheelchair who apperantly loves to skate, but because of his disability can’t! That doesn’t stop in! He puts on a helmet and straps himself onto his wheelchair and there he goes… down the ramp and up in the air! He’s even doing a backflip in the end! With a Wheelchair!!!

Master of Snowboards, Gold Medals and Gravity

Friday, October 13th, 2006

Shaun White, at 19 years old already a legend! Gazillion time winner of gold medals at the xgames and owner of the best tricks in the industry. They made a nice movie of 38 minutes of him, the Shaun White Album, and it’s available through google video. Don’t know if it’s legal, but if it’s hosted we show it! It’s a nice docu where you see him grow up, try skateboarding, being fooled by Tony Hawk, seeing him win many medals. Fun stuff to watch in the weekends or when you’re bored at work.

Freeriding - Another One Bites The Dust

Thursday, October 12th, 2006

This clip show some guys freeriding with their BMX in the mountains, making monster jumps, or should I say falls. At least a handfull of bones had to be snapped and some chins crushed during the filming of all these shots. Those guys really do everything for 2 seconds of zero gravity feeling! Anyway, thanks to their skills we can enjoy all their crazy stuff!
