Freediving with Loic Leferme
Freediving, the most extreme sport there is… Imagine holding your breath and then going down to 171 meters and returning to the surface after 4 minutes! Your car tire has 2 bars of pressure in it, on 171 meters deep you’ll have more then 18 bars pressure on your body! That’s called no limits freediving! Like it? Watch famous freediving champion Loic Leferme setting a world record at that depth. Does he make it to the surface?
As you may have noticed my own favorite game is freediving. If you want to read more about this great sport go to my shark freediving blog or visit our Team Sharkbait website.

Unbeliveble!
But i have 1 question?
Will there ever be 200 m………………?
January 8th, 2007 at 12:47 pm
Current official world record is 183 meters deep done by Herbert Nitsch from Austria. He did this on august 28th 2006 in croatia.
Unofficially there are already 3 people, as far as I know, who already went below 200 meter. In training that is. Check back next week and I make a post about this.

Very impressive footage. I wonder what is the inspiration for someone to test the limits while there is no garantee to surface ever again. What is the feeling when you know I can’t do a meter further and then there is still a way up and it must hurt realy bad when you are running out the oxygen…
My sincere compliments for the dare and dedication.

R.I.P Loic! You are a great man…
Is it possible to get detailed info about what went wrong with the equipment? That could help other people…
Thanks

Well, all equipment was lost in the deep sea and could not be recovered. So it’s only speculation that’s going on… So no detailed report about what happened.
