Snow Kiting

Tuesday, October 31st, 2006

This summer we walked at Scheveningen beach and we saw some guys kite surfing in the waves of the rough north-sea. I immediately thought it was a good idea to try this myself soon… Time past by and now it’s freezing already outside. So no kite surfing for me… that’s probably what the guys in the video below also thought. They just replace the water with snow!

Kris Holm And His Wheel

Monday, October 30th, 2006

While searching for some cool freeriding footage I came up with this guy, Kris Holm, who freerides as well, but not on a normal bike, but with a one wheel bike. It’s just amazing what this guy can do! I only wonder if he can still make children… all that huge beating between his legs by his sadle… ouch! But hey, he still seems to have a lot of fun.

Tom Sietas Having Trouble At 122 Meters Deep

Sunday, October 29th, 2006

German Freediver superstar Tom Sietas, multiple world record holder, tried some time back to make a new no limits record. This is the freediving discipline where you hold your breath, go down with a sled, inflate a balloon and go back up as a rocket. This time inflating the balloon didn’t go as planned and Tom had to wait until the safety diver arrives. Remember, he’s holding his breath at 122 meters deep. Just relaxing and waiting until the help has arrived.

Steven Hamilton And His BMX

Saturday, October 28th, 2006

While searching for some other video I found this one by luck. Never heard of the guy, but then again never heard about so many other guys. Well, I won’t forget his name anymore after I saw this clip. He knows how to handle his bike and show of his skills.

The Milkman Collection Part 2

Friday, October 27th, 2006

One week later, here is part 2! Don’t expect part 3 anytime soon, because that video is already months in the making and no news from these guys in that time. So don’t know if they still working on it, but we’ll see. In the mean time we still got a good 3 minutes of nice footage. Too bad of the irritating marketing stuff in the corner.

Sector No Limits

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

Here’s a pretty old commercial from the famous sector watches brand. I had it once on video and always enjoyed it but lost it. Sector produced a nice extreme sports clip that is suitable for everybody. Ofcourse I liked it then for the footage of Umberto Pelizzari Freediving.

Steve Terada - Martial Arts

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006

The next videoclip is about famous martial artist Steve Terada. Steve can make some pretty impressive jumps, kicks, backflips, etc. I doubt that this kind of martial arts is any doubtfull in real life but it’s definitly pleasing to the eye. Especially the extreme speed he does it in is amazing! You probably saw him already in the trickers collection from monday.

The Loop

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

Combine the king of vert Tony Hawk, with the king of BMX Mat Hoffman and throw in some jackass and you’ll get the Loop! Some serious fun for a great trick.

Trickers Part 3

Monday, October 23rd, 2006

And a good Monday to all of you! It’s time for our weekly trickers compilation video! That is, untill I run out of them… Part 3 features some of the new guys on the block and some more recent footage. Can you see any progress in the skills? Next week another one…

Freestyle Motorcross - Travis Pastrana

Sunday, October 22nd, 2006

I thought about this for a while… Does freestyle motorcross (FMX, if I’m correct) belong to the special selected Shark Sports, because my philosophy has always been that a person has to get to his maximum potential without the use of any motorised accesoires. I’ve seen many cool tricks with regards to FMX! One of the coolest things I saw some years back was the first backflip on a motorcross ever. That looked cool and pretty dangerous!

In the last years more and more people are doing this trick and making all kinds of variations on it, so Travis Pastrana thought it was time to make it somewhat more difficult. Below you see the result! If you read further into the post you’ll find two more post about how he trained for this spectaculair trick. Oh and let me know if you want to see more video’s of these kind and if this sport belongs to the list of Shark Sports!
